The vision and mission statement is enshrined in all bodies of the institution. Student, teachers, staff and guardians are made aware of Gandhian principles by interaction with the management of the college. The staff and teachers are constantly involved in the mission.

The emphasis is on encouraging dalits, women and poor to enroll in large number and to make special efforts to retain them for highest degrees. The long association with Gandhian values is reflected in the composition of the general body of the Management Committee where prominent Gandhians are adequately represented.
